Squad Plan Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-10-13
Last updated: 2026-10-17
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Squad Plan ("we", "us") for the Squad Plan website and app (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, our AI notice, and our Subscription terms. If you do not agree to all of them, you cannot use Squad Plan.
1. What Squad Plan does
Squad Plan takes the details you enter about a hangout, trip or occasion. These include the city, dates, group size, who is coming, the occasion, activities and any notes you add. It then uses map data and, when it is switched on, artificial intelligence (AI) to create three activity plans: Plan A, Plan B and Plan C.
You can share a voting link so your friends can pick one.
2. Who can use Squad Plan
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- If you are 13 to 17, you may buy a paid subscription only with your parent's or guardian's permission, and only using their payment method.
- When you make plans, you tell us who is coming: grown-ups 21+, some under 21, or kids under 13. Please give a true answer. You must be 13 or older to make an account, but children can come along on a plan.
- Bars, pubs and clubs are only included for ages 21 and up. You must follow the drinking-age laws where you are.
- If you use the Service for other people, you confirm that you are allowed to share their details with us and with the AI provider.
3. Accounts and passwords
- To sign up, you give your first name and email address and confirm you are 13 or older. You then choose your password after tapping the link in the verify email. You sign in with your email address and that password. Google sign-in is switched off for now. Phone sign-in may be added later.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and sign-in details private.
- Tell us right away at hello@squadplan.co if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
4. Voting without an account
- You need an account to make plans.
- Friends you send a voting link to can vote without an account. They can only see and vote on the plans in that link.
5. AI and automatically made plans: please read this
- Plans are made automatically by software from map data and, when it is switched on, by AI. Each set of plans says whether AI was used. Either way, plans may be wrong, incomplete or out of date.
- Opening hours, prices, travel times, weather, availability and safety can change. Always check them yourself before you book, buy tickets, or travel.
- Places in a plan are suggestions. We are not responsible for the venues, tours, restaurants, transport or other businesses that appear in a plan, or for anything that happens at them.
- Use your own judgement. Do not rely on a plan as professional, medical, legal, financial or safety advice.
- See our AI notice for more detail.
6. Voting links
- When you turn on voting, you get a link to share.
- Anyone who has the link can vote, including people you did not mean to share it with. Only share the link with people you trust.
- Voters do not need an account. We store the name they choose to give (optional), their vote, and a random browser id.
- You can close voting at any time. After voting is closed, we do not accept new votes.
- What you do with the result is up to you. We do not book anything for you.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything illegal, or to plan activities that are illegal;
- harass, threaten or harm other people, including voters;
- send spam, or use the Service to collect other people's personal data without permission;
- try to break, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the Service, or get around usage limits;
- upload or enter content that is hateful, abusive, sexual involving minors, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are;
- use AI-generated content to create false reviews, fake records or anything else meant to mislead others.
We may remove content, limit access, or close accounts that break these rules.
8. Free use and paid subscriptions
- The free plan lets you create 5 plans per week. We may change these limits. We will tell you about changes that affect you.
- Squad Plan Plus is our paid monthly subscription. It gives you unlimited plans, "Make it yours" customization, the option to add plans to your calendar, and reviews of your outings that shape your next plans.
- Plus is coming soon. It is not on sale yet.
- People who sign up before Plus launches are called "Founding members." We may offer Founding members a loyalty price when Plus launches. This is not a promise of any specific price or discount.
- Subscriptions are governed by our Subscription terms, which are part of these Terms.
9. Ending your use
- You can stop using Squad Plan at any time. You can ask us to delete your account (see our Privacy Policy).
- We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where we can, we will tell you why.
- When your account ends, the rights that should continue (such as limitation of liability and payment obligations) still apply.
10. Disclaimers
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".
- To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not promise that the Service will always work, be error-free, or that AI plans will be accurate, complete or suitable for you.
11. Limitation of liability
- To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. This includes lost profits, lost plans, missed trips, or lost data.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of: the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.
- Some places do not allow some of these limits. In those places, our liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is important, we will tell you before it takes effect, for example by email or in the app. If you keep using Squad Plan after the change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the Service.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
