Squad Plan Cookie Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-11 Last updated: 2026-10-17
This policy explains what cookies and browser storage Squad Plan ("we", "us") uses. We use only what the app needs to work. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or tracking cookies.
What we store
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie (set by our sign-in system, Better Auth) | Keeps you signed in and keeps your account secure | Essential cookie | Until you sign out, or until the session expires |
sp_consent | Remembers your choices on the consent screen (Terms, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, AI notice, Subscription terms) | Browser storage (local storage) | Until you clear your browser data |
sp_voter_id | Random id that stops the same browser from voting twice on a plan and links your vote to your browser | Browser storage (local storage) | Until you clear your browser data |
| Vote record (one for each vote link) | Remembers the name and choice you voted, so you can change your vote | Browser storage (local storage) | Until you clear your browser data |
| Planner draft | Keeps your unfinished plan answers if the page reloads | Browser storage (session storage) | Until you close the tab |
The session cookie is an essential cookie. The other items are stored in your browser's local storage or session storage. They are not sent as cookies.
Essential only
We do not use:
- analytics or measurement cookies;
- advertising or retargeting cookies;
- third-party tracking cookies.
Your choices
- When you first open Squad Plan, you can Accept or Decline this policy.
- If you decline, you cannot use Squad Plan. The session cookie and the stored ids are needed to keep the app working, so we cannot offer the app without them.
- You can clear cookies and browser storage at any time in your browser settings. Doing this signs you out, may stop your votes from being linked to you, and removes your vote record and any unfinished plan answers. If you clear them, you will be asked to accept again.
Changes
If we add or change cookies or browser storage, we will update this table and the dates at the top. If a change needs your consent, we will ask you again.
